Weekly Update 10-2-12

First of all, we would like to welcome Michelle Yelverton to our class. We are so excited to have her with us!!

**Picture day is Monday, October 8^th. ALL students must be in FULL UNIFORM on picture day.  These are the pictures that go in the yearbook.

**Kindergarten will be collecting coke tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta. We will be collecting through April, and the class that collects the most will win an ice cream party. Start Saving Today!!!

** Also, please start saving your bottle caps for our class. We use them for many different math activities. All colors and sizes are great.

**All students should bring a jacket or sweater with a logo to leave in their backpacks. Sometimes it’s cool in the classroom, and they may need their sweaters.

**Beginning Monday, October 1st, each class will be participating in the "Change Cancer Challenge".

Please have your child bring in any loose change to place in the collection jugs located in each classroom.  They will also have the opportunity to participate in Crazy Pink Week and purchase NUT Passes for each Friday in October.
October 5th - $1 NUT passes (Purchase by Oct 4th)

October 8th – 12th:  “Crazy Pink Week”                                      

           Oct 8th – Wear Crazy Socks - $0.50

           Oct 9th – Hat’s Off to Cancer - $0.50

           Oct 10th – Go Team! Wear your favorite team jersey - $0.50

           Oct 11th – Think Pink!  Accent your KCSMA uniform with pink - $0.50

Oct 12th – NUT (No Uniform Today) Pass - $1.00

October 19th - $1 NUT passes (Purchase by Oct 18th)

October 26th - $1 NUT passes (Purchase by Oct 25th)

October 31st – Last Day to Contribute to "Change Cancer Challenge" Jug

November 1st – "Change Cancer Challenge" Winners announced

           1st Place – PJ Day w/ Popcorn & A Movie

           2nd Place – Pizza Party

           3rd Place – Ice Cream Party
